Subject: One Rise Cinnamon Rolls

One Rise Cinnamon Rolls

3-31/2 cups flour
1/4 cups sugar
1 package instant yeast
1 cup very warm water (112º- 115º)
2 TBSP butter
1 large egg

Whisk instant yeast into warm water until foamy. Whisk in sugar. Stir in remaining ingredients.
Knead by hand about 5 min or for 2 minutes or so in food processor or mixer with dough hook (until smooth and elastic)

Roll dough into 15 x 7 inch rectangle on lightly floured board or clean counter

Spread dough with Filling

2 TBSP softened butter leave 1/2 inch space at each edge Sprinkle with
3/4 cup packed brown sugar mixed with 1 1/4 tsp cinnamon


***If you butter to the edges the roll will not hold together******


Starting at the 15 inch side of dough roll up tightly like a jelly roll. Pinch edges tightly to seal together. Slice into 12 slices. (Sewing thread or dental floss slices best) Put slices on parchment paper lined cookie sheet and let rise in warm place 45 min-1 hr. Bake 375 25-30 minutes

While still warm glaze
Glaze-
1 cup confectioner sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla
3-5 tsp milk or cream
1/8 tsp salt
