Subject: Apple Cake using fresh apples

Fresh Apple Cake

Cake:
1/2 cup Butter (softened)
1 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Brown Sugar, packed
2 Eggs
2 1/2 cups Flour
1 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Salt
2 tsp Cinnamon
1 cup Milk
2 cups peeled, cored and cubed apples


Topping:
5 tablespoons Butter
1/2 cup Brown Sugar, packed
1/2 cup Flour
2 tsp Cinnamon


Preheat oven to 350.
Grease and flour a 9x13" pan.


In a large bowl, mix together the butter and sugars.

Add the eggs, vanilla and milk.
Mix in the the baking powder, soda, salt and cinnamon. Stir in the flour and fold in the apples. Pour into the prepared pan.

Topping
Put the butter, flour, sugar and cinnamon in bowl. Crumb using a pasty blender or fork. Evenly spread it over the cake batter. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
