Subject: Chocolate Sheet Cake

Chocolate Sheet Cake
3 cups flour
3 cups sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs
3/4 cup sour cream
2 teaspoon vanilla
1-1/2 cups butter
3/4 cup cocoa
1-1/2 cups hot water

Melt butter. Stir in cocoa and hot water. Bring to a boil and then remove from heat. Cool to room temperature.

Combine flour, sugar, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, sour cream and vanilla. Add to the dry ingredients and mix until blended. Add cooled butter/cocoa mixture and mix until fully combined.

Spread evenly in a greased 15 x 10 inch pan. Bake at 350° for 25 - 30 minutes.

Frosting
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup milk
4 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

For frosting, melt butter and remove from heat. Add peanut butter and stir until smooth. Whisk together milk and sugar until fully incorporated. Stir in vanilla and slowly incorporate the peanut butter mixture. Add walnuts. Frost while cake and frosting are both still warm.
