Subject: Big Mama Trahern's Tomato Gravy

We might have been poor, but Big Mama made sure what we ate was tasty... her tomato gravy was so good!
She'd make hot biscuits, and then brown her flour for gravy. When it was "just brown enough" she'd add stewed
tomatoes, mostly ones we'd canned over the summer. Added was
salt and black pepper to taste, then slowly simmered til thick. We'd enjoy our gravy and biscuit supper. You can also use over rice, or potatoes, or add some chopped beef to it.
I often make it, and add leftover roast, sometimes I add some hot peppers to it. On a cold winter's evening, or for an early morning breakfast, nothing can beat it.
