That part is easy.
WE are keeping most of the females. 75% of the fish 14" or over that we keep are full of eggs. So there is your state at work.
Fishing just keeps going down hill each year. But there was a lot of 13 1/2 or better fish caught and returned last year.
So it may pick up in a few weeks.
Heading back tomorrow that is if I am not frozen to the ground calling for a wind chill of 1 degree tonight.
