We would troll along the drop offs and catch them when they come up on the edges to feed. We usually trolled the area up from 9 mile island I think is what it is called. Up river from you at the other dam. I forget if that is Wilson or Wheeler dam. I caught a few sauger trolling for smallies with a crawfish colored bomber.
