Cold and wet. And did i say cold..
Caught a few sauger, Only one that would keep. But also caught a few blues. They were hitting the sauger jig tipped with a minnow.
Sure wish I had about 10 skip jacks. Bet I could wear the blues out.
Fishing in 60ft of water.
Water Temp was 47 degrees'
Air temp was 36 degrees
Wind North East 10 to 15 Mph.
Clouds and drizzle
Pete

Robert I should be in the only Camp war-eagle with a 140 Suzuki 4-stroke there.

Bill it was cold. I fished that day. And ran a Little over 30 miles fishing that day.
What kind of boat did you get? Should have posted that you were going to be up this way. And I would have tryed to meet up with you..

Hoot I do catch a few trolling crank baits and jigs. But catch more fish just fishing a jig under the boat.

Pete

I bought a Nitro from C&O. It was a spur of the moment thing, drove up on Monday and back on Tuesday. The wife made me do it! We will be back up that way later this year. TBill

It was taken at the park and ramp on the Cumberland River at Ashland City, Tenn. right under the bridge on highway 49. The dealer called it Cheatham.

I know a few guys that fish up in that part of the river.
I hope to get there and fish one day this spring.
Fished Reel Foot Friday for Crappie had a great time and found out a lot about fishing for crappie in the winter.

I plan on fishing Reel Foot 1 or 2 times a month next winter.

I was up your way Monday, picked up my new boat. Man, it was cold test running the boat! Didn't take long to decide it was OK. Wife wouldn't go to Pickwick and fish though, wouldn't even talk about it. TBill

Pete, Have you tried trolling a deep diving crank bait?
That is the way I caught sauger. Up at the other dam. From the bridge to the dam and down where the creek runs in below the campground.
