My life is as shallow as ever but why on EARTH do people see me as somebody to confide in?

Do I look like somebody who gives a damn that a 21 year old girl has a crush on a 34 year old married man with a new-born baby - a married man whose marriage is pretty much over as obviously no marriages last in our circle of doom!
