JKR deliberately had an epilogue in the future so that she couldn't be persuaded to write any more HP books. However, what's the betting that in the future we have a spin-off series "The Further Very Wonderful Adventures of HP", probably made by some Disney-esque American TV company, in which HP and friends have apparated to mid-US and do battle with ever more evil villains (eg Bushemort?)
