Subject: Afternoon all.... are names important ?

I have just had a long conversation with a man who is taking a load of posters deep into the darkest reaches of Norfolk for me however he keeps calling me Simon and frankly i didn't like to correct him.

More worrying is that lots of other people call me Steve. This would again be fine however. someone i went to school with 17 years ago called me Steve when i saw him in a pub, then a guy in a band the other day called me Steve half way through his set while i was up in the light box. On top of that half of the people who come into the theatre as one of the people who employed me, even though she knows my name , calls me Steve quite a lot and in some of her quite a lot times, she has told others i'm called Steve so they all call me Steve too.

The point i wonder is as several people have individualy decided my name is Steve does that mean i look like one ? and can you look like a certain name and if you can is Steve a bad name to look like ? I can't say i like the idea of looking like a Steve ( Sorry to anyone out there called Steve )

Finally did anyone out there ever feel i might be a Steve ?
