Same old out of context reasoning that is not substantiated by the action of the Apostles who all including Paul continued to worship and rest on the sabbath day. Acts chapters 13- 18 bear witness to this fact and the fact the Luke a Greek physician made note of this and tells more of the sabbath in his evangel witness also declares that real Apostolics do not hold to the bogus claim that all we need is the rest in the Holy Spirit for our physical bodies! Yeshayahu/Isaiah 28 does not contain the Hebrew word shabbot at all!

I speak in tongues every time I pray and find that this is the initial sign of the believer being baptized in the Spirit but also find the Book of Acts full of examples of the sabbath being kept with Jews and Gentiles by the Apostle Paul.

Yahu'shua(Jesus) did not say the sabbath was made for the Jews or Israel only but he clearly said it was made for man meaning all of mankind(Mark 2:27). This is the same arguement many made in Isreal of Yahu'shua and Paul's day that the law belonged only to Israelites and not to anyone else. They even tried to say salvation was alone for the Jew and not for the other nations. Yahu'shua and Paul soundly refuted these kinds of arguements in their teachings, Romans 8:7-12.

No he did not observe the sabbath as the Pharisees, and scribes of His days as our example on the earth(Luke 4:16), but he clearly did not do away with any portion of the law of Yahu'eh as can be clearly seen in the witness of Mattithyahu 5:17-20, also chapter 15 and well as Mark 7. He upheld the law of Yahu'eh and refuted the added laws because of transgressions(Galations 3:19) of the original law of Yahu'eh.

So please in your hypothesizing do not criminalize the sabbath commandment with the actions, traditons, rules, and regulations of the Pharisees, scribes and other Jewish leaders of Yahu'shua and Paul's day.

Yeremiahu 31:27-34 tells us what happens under the New Covanant. the law of Yahu'eh is written on the heart and mind by the Spirit of Yahueh not on tablets of stone. Same law different application! Ezekiel 36:26-27 is a second witness of the Ne Covanant understanding of law of the Almighty Yahu'eh.

First century Apostolic in faith and practice!
