Subject: RE: PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY THERE ARE ONLY ONE GOD

ONLY ONE GOD
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob was manifested to humanity in the veil of flesh as Moses was veiled in the presence of the children of Israel when he brought the law. Moses brought the OLD COVENANT to Israel. God was veiled in the FLESH and broght to us the NEW COVENANT.

Jesus is the manifestation of the one God of both the old and new testaments, "For in Him Dwelleth all the fullness of the GODHEAD BODILY, Col. 2:9. God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world received up into glory, 1 Tim 3:16. There being only one God proven by both New and Old Testaments, we should carefully study the scriptures mentioned on the subject as follows:

Deut 4:35 ...The Lord he is God, there is none else beside Him.

Deut 4:39 ...There is None Else.

Deut 6:4 Hear, O Isreal The Lord our God is one Lord.

Deut. 32:39 ...I even I am He, and there is no God with me.

1 Sam. 2:2 ...None holy as the Lord, None beside Thee.

2 Sam 7:22 ..None like Thee...None beside Thee

1 Kings 8:60 ...The Lord is God...There is None else.

2 Kings 19:15 ...Thou art God even Thou alone.

Psalms 86:10 ...Thou are God alone.

Isaiah 40:25 ...To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.

Isaiah 42:8 ...I am the Lord, and my glory will I not give to another.

Matthew 28:18 ...And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Isaiah 43:10, 11 ...Before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I even I, am the Lord; and besides Me there is no Savior.

Isaiah 44:6 ...I am the first and the last and besides me there is no God.

Isaiah 44:8 ...Is there a God beside Me? There is no God; I know not any.

Isaiah 44:24 ...I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself.

Isaiah 45:5 ...I am the Lord, and there is none else. There is no God beside Me.

Isaiah 45:6 ...There is none beside Me. I am the Lord and there is None Else.

Isaiah 45:18 ...I am the Lord; and there is None else.

Isaiah 46:9 ...For I am God, and there is None Else; there is None Like Me.

Isaiah 48:11 ...I will not give my glory another.

Hose 13:4 ...Thou shalt know no God but Me; for there is no Savior beside me.

Mat 1:21 Thou shall call his Name Jesus, for he shall save his people from their sins.

Zach 14:9 ...In that day shall there be one Lord, and His Name One.

Phil 2:11 Every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

Mal 2:10 Have we not all One Father? Hath not One God created us?

Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord.

St. John 10:30 I and my Father are one.

St. John 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also; and from henceforth ye know hime, and have seen him.

St. John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not know me, Philip? he that hath seen me hat seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, show us the Father?

1 Cor 8:4 ...There is none other God but one.

Eph 4:5 ...One Lord, One Faith, and One Baptism.

Act 9:5 ...And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest; it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

Eph 4:6 ...One God and Father of All, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

James 2:19 ...Thou believeth that there is One God thou doth well, the devils also believe and tremble.

Col 1: 6 ...By Him (Jesus Christ) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth.

Now, I feel sure that these Scriptures are worth consideration while there are some scriptures that seem to the carnal mind to set forth three Supreme beings, each separate from the other; yet God's Word does not contradict its self. No place in the Bible is the word "Trinity," or the expression "Three Persons" used in any relation or reference to Deity, but in so many places the word One is used in reference to God. It does not say "Three Gods". but One God. No where in the scriptures do we find that the Father is the First Person or that Jesus is the Second Person. God says in ISa 48:12 "I am the first; I also am the Last; then Jesus declares in Rev. 1:8,11, and Rev 22:13, "I am the beginning and the end, the first and the last"

God was known to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as God Almighty; to Moses and the Hebrew people as Jehovah. He was manifested to the Apostles in the Flesh, and dwells within us through the Holy Ghost.
