Subject: The BIG Oct 4th snowstorm of 1987...

remember that one? I was off-duty and cranked the heat way up, my wife yelled at me till I told her to look outside. She knew then, as I did, it was only a matter of time till the power went out. Of course I was called in, being a firefight that day did have it's advantages, we had generators and the Giants game. We had to keep rotating crews because we had so many calls for downed wires and tree limbs so at least all of us had a chance to catch part of the game. Remember the Giants were good then.

At the house we didn't get power for three days, but the bright spot the trees I had planned on trimming were all done for me.
