some things I miss about the North.

CLIFTON PARK - When they left for Iraq, they supported the war. These soldiers are now back, with a very different opinion.

Before they started playing Saturday night, the lead singer of this band called 'Deep Chemistry' said they're happy to be here for this important cause.

Dozens of war veterans gathered at Northern Lights in Clifton Park to send a clear message that they do not support the war.

"Crossing the borders in Iraq, fighting to bring our brothers and sisters back," said Eli Wright.

Eli Wright is still an active duty soldier, but he wears a shirt that says Veterans for Peace. Wright was injured when he was thrown out of a humvee while serving as a Combat Medic in Iraq.

"I have a neck and back and possible brain injury," said Wright.

Michael Blake was a Unit Supply Specialist in Iraq. He says his experiences have given him a sense of self-realization.

"We dehumanized the Iraqi people, we somehow made them less than us," said Blake

The point of this event is to raise money for the Winter Soldier Investigation. As we approach the fifth anniversary of the war in Iraq, thousands of men and women who have served overseas will go to Washington, DC.

For three days, from March 13th to the 16th, the war vets will share testimony about what they say is the real truth about the war.

On Saturday, President Bush declined to promise that more U.S troops will come home from Iraq before he leaves office.

The event at Northern Lights lasted until after midnight Saturday night and tickets were ten dollars.
