Subject: KTAL Ratings Author: What Happened [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 09:46:09 05/05/02 Sun KTAL Shreveport was a dog for the past ten years. Old equipment, boring graphics, set, music, and promos. Nexstar took over, fired most of the anchors, and hired kids at half the pay. It is obvious the new anchors and reporters are beginners who should still be in a 150 market. But Nexstar did pump a lot of money into the station. Great set, great graphics, new gear, etc. But the numbers are the worst they have ever been. Single digits. LOW single digits. Is this a case of the pendulum swinging the other way it made a full circle, and kicked them in the ass? You would think with the millions of dollars they pumped into the station, the numbers would be higher. Or are they priming it to sell in a couple of years? What do you think? So KTAL needs to be at the top of their game for YEARS to capitalize any fumbles that come from KTBS and KSLA. This ain't no quick fix. Are they still planning to move the station?
