Posted this on Medialine, didn't get jack, so I'll post it here and cross my fingers that someone knows the answer.

I am applying for an AP job and was wondering: Since AP's don't traditionally (that I know of anyway) have an actual "resume tape," would it be advisable to stuff a few samples of my writing (teases, headlines, stories) in with my resume packet? Or would I do better to present that at an interview?

Based on what I've seen, no producer/associate producer should include their writing samples unless they just want to be laughed at.

Thanks so much. I didn't include them when I sent my original packet- simply on instinct. That being said, it's nice to hear from someone with more experience and knowledge that I did the right thing.
Thanks again.
