Lawsuit alleges racial profiling in traffic stop

A black woman who was ordered out of her car at gunpoint by Nichols Hills policeis suing the city for $6 million. Lisa Miller, 34, alleges in a federal lawsuit filed this week that she was the victim of racial profiling. Police reports
state that officers suspected the vehicle Miller was driving was stolen.

Officers say they couldn't see through the vehicle's tinted windows to see who was inside. Miller was ordered out of the vehicle at gunpoint and was ordered to get down on the ground, as were her two children, ages 11 and 12. Miller was
handcuffed, she and the children were searched for weapons, and they were taken to separate police cars. Miller was released without a ticket after police confirmed the vehicle wasn't stolen. Officer Jonathon Jennings says in his
report that he had to be cautious until the situation was straightened out.
