Hi there. I am the proud owner of a beautiful, sweet tempered, well mannered, gentle pit bull. I am a responsible, considerate owner, and am sick of people who have the audacity when I am out walking my dog to come up to me and say negative things about my breed. I find middle aged men the worst offenders for some strange reason...Is it a mid-life crisis? Their version of menopause? I will be walking along, my dog on her leash, enjoying the day, when out of nowhere some dumbass has to come up and say "is that a pitbull?" (my new response going to be "no, she's a poodle/sheepdog cross") .They follow up that with remarks about "that breed is like a loaded gun", or"it should have a muzzle on"(why? she is on a leash.I have full control. And she is NOT the least bit aggressive. And this is usually by the jerk whose dog is running around jumping on people and snarling at other dogs.I say muzzle the rude, invasive idiot!). And the list goes on.I wonder how these mouthy fools would like it if I came up to them while they were out with their children, and started making derogatory remarks about their" bratty kids making too much noise", or that "they better be careful...i see they have a kid who looks like a real problem..I wouldn't doubt it if it snaps in high school and shoots up his classmates".....I have had people literally take the time to change direction, and approach me just to be rude, and try to pick an argument.Maybe it is because she is gentle, and has an obvious friendly manner about her they aren't intimidated to approach. It's not like i am going to teach her otherwise just to ward off their unsolicited comments....but, one day the wrong person is going to get too nasty and they won't have the dog to contend with...try a pissed off Irish Scorpio Girl who is sick and tired of bitchy people intterupting what is supposed to be relaxing, quality time with my pet.My dog is friendly to all kids, people, and animals she meets in her travels with me, I wish I could say the same for all the humans we encounter!
