I'm not looking to make major changes, but I would like to do some tweaking to my team. Beckett and Neugebauer are not available in any deals, and the way Acevedo is pitching I'm reluctant to trade him as well. Everybody else is on the table, but a lot of people were just signed this past offseason so you'll have to wait until June 1 rolls around.

In particular, the following are available:
  • Scott Spiezio: a solid and versatile player with decent defense at four positions (including 2B, the most barren position in the league). His ratings are 50-75-51, putting him in the upper-echelon of DPBL second basemen. He has struggled this year, but granted my players play half of their games in Pro Player and not the Kingdome. He's a .264 career hitter with 50 homeruns.
  • Mike Rivera: a catcher with power who also has CH, a rarity in this league. He's on an arbitration scale currently, so his salary will remain low for a few years to come. I'm reluctant to trade him because he has the potential to be a big run producer at a tough position, but I have a lot of catchers waiting for their chance down in AA-Carolina.
  • Calvin Pickering: by no means in the top tier of 1B, but he is a solid player who has a salary of only $1 million. He could start at 1B for some teams in the league for a few years to come.
  • Ron Calloway: another guy I'm reluctant to trade because he's not done improving, but centerfielders are a commodity in this league, so why not put them up for trade. He's got both speed and power (54-82-69).
  • Other hitters that may be on the move are Yorvit Torrealba (solid backup catcher), Kevin Millar and Mike Lowell (free agents at year's end). Jose Guillen will be available come June 1, and he can fill a corner outfield hole.
  • All of my AA and AAA hitting prospects (I'm wavering on whether to include Catsam in the mix) are available in the right offer. My team is really deep in the outfield, so Chris Wiedemann is up for grabs.
  • Any pitcher not mentioned above is available, including Bobby Brownlie. People like Kevin Olsen and Jose Cabrera have struggled for me this year, and a change of setting may help them regain past form. Cabrera pitched 72 innings last season and had a respectable ERA in relief, while Olsen's numbers ballooned in two late season starts (ERA was under 4 for much of the year). I probably will not deal Tollberg or Benoit because they're good and valuable pitchers signed cheaply and I don't think I can get fair value for either of them on the trade market.

There are no bad contracts on my team, so I'm not packaging anybody to lose contracts. Spiezio's contract may look expensive at first glance, but he is well within the market range for 2B of his level (Catalanotto is paid $2 million more, and Kent $1 million more). Bernie Williams is pricey at $12 million, but I'll gladly pay that given his outstanding production. Schmidt's deal approaches $7 million but he's a bonafide #2 starter pitching in my #4 role. Nobody else is guaranteed more than $2 million next season so I have flexibility to take on big contracts that you may wish to move. I don't really need many more prospects, and draft picks don't help me too much (I won't say no to them).

IM me on DPBL Marlins or wilksthequaker with any offers for any number of the players, and we'll talk. I don't care which one you IM; I just keep all of your screennames on one list and that's the only place I'll IM you from. I may not be able to give you an answer immediately on an offer, but I'll do so as quickly as I can. I posted here because I know everybody's checking the Pujols sweepstakes, and it's better than flooding you with IMs while you're studying for finals or writing term papers.

    Good luck to everybody!
