Date Posted: 18:26:58 06/12/04 Sat Kevin Brown, one of the great starting pitchers in DP history, is on the block, as the Sox are looking to clear salary to re-sign Cristian Guzman. Brown is in the last year of his contract at 15 million. Anyone who has seen his performance in the 3 years of DP history would agree that he's one of the rare top-of-the-line #1 aces in the game and worth every penny of his contract. Worry not about the decline in AS/CO ratings. Drop FA and then a little HR and he's back to 94/69 AS/CO. Also don't worry about his age. He's had stellar performances in his last several seasons, and some of the game's best performers have been in their late 30s or older (take Sierra, Clemens, Randy Johnson, etc).
