Date Posted: 19:14:11 08/12/04 Thu with the acquisition of Brad Fullmer, Tony Alvarez no longer fits into the ChiSox's plans. He's a 2nd-year player with solid ratings; 64/58/68 at the corner OF spots, and is 25 this year. Probably projects to between 70 and 75 PH in the end, a Roosevelt Brown or Todd Hollandsworth kind of player. He's already as good as the Rondell White/Brian Jordan kind of veterans who are going for a few mil apiece. This is someone whom you can plug into your corner OF for the next 3 or 4 years on an arbitration salary, and let yourself spend big bucks on pitching or tough positions (C, 2B, SS). If you're interested, drop me a line at Irashoran on IM. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
