The Curt Schilling sweepstakes is now officially open. He can be dealt on June 1st and that's exactly what is going to happen. We are currently four sims (~2 weeks) away from that deadline, so I am now going to start taking offers.

Schilling is the best pitcher in DPBL. Across the board: ratings, stats, etc. This season, he already has a sub 2 ERA in the Metrodome. His salary is high, but I am not goint to let that be an issue. There is a good chance he retires at the end of the season. If he doesn't, his contract is still very moveable after the season. He wouldn't clear waivers, even after the season (Hell, I'd pick him up again after the season just so that I can deal him for prospects at the same time next season).

Last year Schilling was traded for Tim Redding and Junior Spivey, among others. I am primarily looking for draft picks and prospects in return. But young, star players will also be considered. I am looking for top value.

Schilling is going to be traded to the highest bidder on June 1st. He is the type of player who is a difference maker. Keeping him away from your rival may be just as important as acquiring him for your own team.
