Subject: Break in the jungle trek

The light filters down from over head between the branches and the cries of who knows what echoes through the jungle. The runners are on alert scanning their surroundings. The air is heavy with heat and humidity. The party is drenched from their own sweat, but you notice that the natives hardly seem to be phased. The natives give the party a moment of rest, so they can recoup from their ordeal. Asire bends and looks at the boy�s red and swollen ankle, then gives a gruff sigh and shakes his head. Pointing at the green ooze on the boys foot and calf he says �Poor lad, when we took off running he must have slipped on that ooze pouring from that blasted oversized insect and sprained it. Here we go off running and he being mute cant even call out for help�. He ruffles the boys hair then looks to the others; �This could cause some problems. It�s plain to see if we want to survive this damned jungle we best be quick. But, the boy can�t run nor barely walk on his ankle.�
