In reply to: Marianne 's message, "Re: I soooo sympathise, with the hot flash vs cold snap, Marianne!!" on 11:15:14 11/09/07 Fri

(I have some of WallyWorld's 'equal' brand estroven -- but ...) have yet remembered to take it for more than a week at a time, much less the 'several weeks' needed to see any appreciable effect. Sigh. Instead, I just find myself wearing 'layers' that can be easily 'peeled' down to just a tank top, all winter long. So far, the only real problem is feeling chilled, if sweaty on a cold day. Not much of a problem, considering some of the problems others face, having taken the HRT recommended by so many doctors for relief of hot flash symptoms. I prefer showers, to surgery, chemo, radiation, etc. Of course, the link between HRT and cancers is questionable, too. I guess, as long as my flyers, horses, beagle and cats, don't mind my salty hands, I'll not worry too much, about the hot flashes. Keeping my house cool helps, some -- and saves me money, on heating costs, in the winter!
