F.Y.I. - New Baby Boy

I HAVE A NEW BABY BOY! Flying Squirrel, that is! He came 2 days ago via a rehabber friend of mine who really doesn't have the time for feedings. He is about 6 - 7 weeks old and is doing quite well! VERY ACTIVE and VERY HUNGRY! He attended his first meeting with me yesterday since I knew a feeding would need to be done before I would get back home. I actually had a few moments of panic as I realized how long it had been since I tended a baby flyer--years, actually--for Betty has always been such a good mother that she needed no help from me. Anyway, it's so much like tending gray babies that everything quickly came back! He's an "exuberant" eater, so he wears some of his formula and doesn't like my grooming attemps with a damp q-tip! LOL! My granddaughter was with me the day he arrived so she quickly named him Bobbles (he grabbed that syringe and went to town on his "bobble", thus his name!) He is a real sweetie; hopefully, I will be able to adopt him out when he is ready! Already have one possibility. Now I need to hope that Betty doesn't have any this spring!
