Subject: Wonderful Maine flyers

Well, my garage is once again busy with flyers. The "friend" from last winter who took food from my hand is also back. He/she is so anxious to get the special nuts I bought for them that I think one day it will jump right onto my coat! So, so cute. I bought hazelnuts at the grocers during Thanksgiving time...the only time they have nuts in shells available. I also collected some acorns last fall and it enjoys this as well. I have offered grapes which it loves to eat, leaving only the skin after. It is incredible how it can eat the center so cleanly and leave only the skin of this red grape. Does anyone know for sure if the flyers "store" food like a chipmonk does?? I took my Hyundai Sonata in for routine check and they found the air filter FULL of seeds! No wonder it did not run well!! I had a chipmonk in the garage in the fall and live trapped it to remove it to another location away from my garage. I think it did the storing, but wonder. Will get some photos soon to post.
