Bev, when I was last in aviary, there was nothing but nuts in that box. Now, there is cotton bedding and him/her. I have always left extra bedding around for them to use. Often I will find dirt bedding on the floor and new cotton balls gone. I have always presume that they are cleaning house. Although when I clean boxes they are pretty gross with old food etc..
I will try what you suggested Bev, but he was very hard to catch the first time. I'm sure I traumatized him. Not sure if I can do that every day.. Maybe when he sees the rest of them running up and down me like a tree, he wont be so afraid of me...
