All I know is that my flyers love them, They have choices to use moss ( for a lack or another name, you find it hanging from trees in Florida) and they can use shavings if they want. But they alway steal the cotton balls for nesting.. I have seen threads in cotton balls. But never in 100% cotton balls.
I don't think I am going to change anything in my aviary, I have 10 healthy flyers that tell me I am doing something right. So no fruit seeds of any kind for my flyers.. And will continue leaving them a choice for bedding.
