(Could also be resentment .... the nicer weather does keep us ... ) away from our wee bits of wesentment (whoops -- I meant, 'wonderment' ... lol!) longer than usual. I've decided the answer, for my crew, is to sleep in the same room. That, of course, means being woken up throughout the night by some flyer or another deciding the perfect place for a pecan is under my pillow. In my case, having members of their own species upon whom to take out any aggression may give me an added bonus, and make it less likely that any of my crew would use me as their 'punching bag' (or biting bag, as it were ...). It does sound like Princess Poo might be territorial in response to hormon production. In the 'natural' setting, a female will keep at least an acre, often as much as 5, clear of any other flying squirrels, because she needs that much territory to have a good selection of nesting areas. So, Princess Poo might be doing what comes naturally to a female flyer. It's good that you can keep your sense of humour, and don't feel too put off by these hostile greetings. I'd probably still be giving HRH 'the treatment', to at least try to make her more sociable. My Molly went through some similar episodes, but I found the bathroom method of behaviour modification effective, for her.

I spent a few hours shedding out my Shetland pony, yesterday. I considered bringing in some of the nice white hair for my flyers, to use as bedding -- but decided the bedroom is messy enough, with just shreaded cotton all over the place! The TBs all seem to be able to shed most of their hair out, by just rolling, but Judy the Gypsy (the Shetland) holds on to the hair, if I don't help -- it always looks like there's a herd of white rabbits all over the lawn, when I'm done!

Today's the Kentucky Derby! Everyone have a mint julep, and raise a glass for a great race!
