Well, noticed the wrens flying back and forth to the shed row barn, again, and what do you think? Yup, instead of taking the hint, when I removed the remains of the April nest, and looking elsewhere for a site, they decided to build their second nest of the season in the same 'corner' of a different stall.

I checked yesterday, and 'tho there are no eggs, yet, the nest is complete. So, I've decided that I just let it be, and only use that stall for feeding one of the horses, when it's raining out. Otherwise, the horses will all eat out in the paddock.

After all, it only takes 28 days, from beginning incubation to flight, for wrens. And they are such lovely little birds -- and good bug eaters.

Also spotted the former resident siblings, all together, still calling to momma and poppa for food. This is quite the norm. The youngsters will continue to be fed, until momma is incubating the new eggs. Even then, it's possible poppa will continue feeding them, until the new eggs hatch.

I'll keep posting on the progress!

PS -- exhausperated -- the combination of being very tired, and very frustrated, at the same time. lol!
