Subject: My wrens are doing the same to me! LOL
In reply to: Beverly 's message, "Re: Maine flyers still around" on 11:06:50 05/15/07 Tue

They hatched the eggs that were in the hanging geranium plant about 10 - 12 days ago--and they are still feeding them! Now, they decided to build a nest in the wreath on the kitchen door. "Duh, Mama and Daddy Wren," said I; "Do you know how many times a day this door is opened and closed???" I think their response was they didn't give a chirp; so they built up and I took down out of the wreath. After two days I gave up and moved the wreath to the outside wall just down from the door, which is protected from rain, etc. Now, Mama Wren is busily warming 4 eggs and looking forward to family #2. I am leaving for NC in the morning; by the time I return there will be babies in the nest, so I will--AGAIN--meal worms for them to feed with!
