Those 13 year old gals you got from me ate apple seeds
all the time I had them. They also ate pear seeds and plum
and peach seeds. When I give them apple, they dig the seeds
out and eat them first like they are a treat.

Even in the Disney movie "Perry" they mention that a mother
Red Squirrels eats "poison to humans" toad stools for
nourishment to feed her babies.
Buckeyes are supposed to be poisonous also, but squirrels
eat them in the wild.
