>I used to have lots of little mouseys in my house,too....I think when the squirrels moved in,the mice moved out........but I remember there was this one time when my dog was acting funny and pawing at something behind the woodstove.....I got up to look what it was she was so interested in and saw this itty-bitty pink thing-kind of like a pink, squirmy jelly bean -before I realized what it was, this little brown field mouse came scampering out from behind the radiator, and grabbed it up in it's mouth-just like you would see a mama cat take it's baby in it's mouth-and ran behind the radiator with it!!!The maternal instinct exists across all species!!
Another time, one of my cats found a mouse in the dining room and I scooted all of them (the cats) outside so I could save the little guy...I took an empty cardboard oatmeal container (those things come in so handy!Squiggy has one for her nest!)and tried to catch him.......I saw him run out from behind a piece of furniture....I was SURE I got him!But when I slowly and carefully lifted the container...he was not there!!I was so perplexed...he could NOT have gotten away!I KNOW he was under there..I stood up,looking around for a few minutes wondering how he could have gotten away from me ..............untill I felt something UP THE LEG OF MY PANTS!!! I do not know how that clever little rodent did it,but he crawled up the leg of my jeans.........By the time I realized it,he was close to my crotch!!!!You have never seen anyone strip so fast in your life!! I mean,I love little furry things-but NOT that close to sensitive parts of my anatomy!!!I threw the pants on the kitchen table-he must have been as startled as I was, cause he leapt across the table and behind a bookcase, never to be seen or heard from again!!I am sure it was an equally frightening experience for both of us!!
That was probably the last time I saw a mouse in the house!
He must have spread the word amoungst his buddies......

Thats it , send your cake to Beverly, She is a tiny

>think they are so darn cute.
