I have also had to have horses "put down", due to injury or old age; and believe me , it is never easy. [ Although the best thing for the animal] It is the "very hardest" thing for the human!! Horses are much more fragile than people realise. And very hard to care for. Before getting one, make sure you have the everyday time to be spent w/them!! Not to mention the $$$$$!. When I bought my 1st horse, I remember the "old-timers" giving me this same advice! How right they were!>Ahhh, Horses! They can be the most wonderful,
