I persoanlly would not use any cleaners like pine sol .. I could never be sure that I rinsed it all out. And I do beleive it is harmful. But to each their own. I've had birds for years and it has proven to be the safest bacteria killer on the market. The fact is once it drys, it looses it strenght so quickly is what makes it so safe for criters too.
