They were created for avian use so I use them for birds and squirrels. It is a bit pricey for the small spray bottles, so I try to find it in the gallon jugs; that, however, is hard to do! (Well, over here on the island it is!) Dawn works fine, too, and is safe. I would NEVER use the bleach inside; only if I have the cage outside and then use a water/bleach solution, rinse a zillion times, and leave it outside for a few days in the sun. Better to err on the side of too much caution when our babies are involved. Sometimes, for odor issues, I put a bit of baking soda in the water; other times, some lemon juice. And I clean every single day--have to with as many critters as I have in the Zoo at 1522.
