Pine Sol contains nothing harmful, really.

The MSDS states three regulated ingredients, two are simple alcohols, one is pine oil. Pine oil (UN #1272, CAS #8002-09-3) has an NFPA 704 rating of 0 (zero). You can't get much more safe than that for a regulated ingredient. My small mammal vet uses pine sol to clean his cages.

Obviously, if you fail to rinse properly (double-rinse heavily with clean water) there exists a potential for problems.

Chlorine bleach is one of the worst items one could use, both for the squirrel and for the environemnt in general.
