Well, there you go.. Its like when eggs were discovered to be very bad for us. and now eggs are actually good for us, in fact they help to eliminate cholesteral...
Years ago I was told by the people that owned the second largest aviary in the USA. They were located in Merrmack NH. They taught me to use a large bucket with a an oz. of bleach and that would take care of all bacteria and hamless to my birds. When I took Cory in, ( an Iguana) I read by a so call expert to clean his area evey day with a bleach solution to avoid ecoli. My former father in law (god bless his soul) who worked for Hoods Milk company for 48 years told me that they used bleach to sterile everything because it dissapated quickly , killed all bacteria, and was harmless once dried. He taught me to alway put a table spoon of bleach in my dishwasher when ever I do dishes,
NOW .... AFTER 25 YEARS I'M TOLD THAT IS THE WORST THING I CAN DO. Good greif. Think I'll stick to my ODOR BAN and just pray I continue with the good luck I have had in the pass.
