(Got a beagle now, myself, and there is no way ...) that I could take her (Bella) riding with me, for the nose overrules any command to 'come' I might give! I did have a setter, years back, that would go out with me, and was good about coming when called. But not Bella! She knows what come means, she just doesn't think it applies to her!
