Mike, where would the church be without rules? Where would Christianity be without rules? Everywhere you go, everything you do, there are rules and regulations. Go to order a cheeseburger at McDonalds? You have to wait in line, order properly and then pay.

Regarding splits, I disagree with you on that. Splitting has nothing to do with going in the wrong direction. People chose to go in a different direction and didn't like the rules, so they'd start their own church, their own room, their own congragation. You can preach the 100% truth, and then a few will not agree, then one of those few will make up their own doctrine, one that they heard on TV or the radio, and sell it to the others that don't agree with the 100% truth and then you have yourself a split. Does that mean that the church that was talking about 100% truth was going in the wrong direction? Absoultely not, it just means that some people want to go a different way and others follow.

The room WAS supposed to be for everybody, then when a few people wanted to preach, and they didn't know what they was talking about, what was supposed to be done? Just let them speak and preach nonsense? When a person makes up his own belief about scripture and will not listen to 12 other men telling him he is wrong, are you supposed to let him share his false doctrine? No, you are supposed to stop him from spreadding his false doctrine before he poisons everyone else. What if he opens his own room? Then you need to publically come against him and show where he is wrong. That is why there is division. Not because the room wasn't going the way God intended, but because man has his own ideas and wants to be heard.
