Hi Lewis,

I have mentioned your hp two years ago as I lived in Auckland I just randomly approach someone who are in the same interest so end up I found this URL.

I am first year of AU student and aslo do Bcom...I ve got a bit of questions to ask you.Fristly how can I get to know new friends in uni?othr than join in HKSS?seems to be weried if I just approach people and talk to them.

And whats ur comment on study Comlaw & OM?Unforunately I scheduled both in the second semester to do so.I heard people said those are qutie normally failed! How about you?end up with PASS?Which part will you major?

Honestly I am sort of concerned with career I bet there are heaps of students graduate from Bcom in nz..not sure if I can find a proper job in this small country. What do u think?

By the way I feel like students from mainland China are overwhelming generally their English are terrible! If people who wanna learn Manderin I adivce them get along with Taiwan friends.Their accent are quite smooth and lovely.

1.)You may meet some via group work. E.g. OM.

2.)Hard to meet some new friends, this is TRUE!

3.)My friends are mainly mostly 99%ly from college, never think that u r gonna make many friends in U.

4.)Yes, u shouldnt put them together. But, honestly, they both are like applying thoeries. If u are good at this field, u can easily pass them without even attending lectures all the time. This is me, hehe. But, if u r bad in this... try to think much and link all stuff with theories b4 u walk in for exams.

5.)I never expert to get a job here easily. 1stly, they always require u to be at least a PR. Otherwise, u can hardly get access to interview. Needless to say a job...
2ndly, if u r the employer i HK, will u prefer to hire a HKer rather than a , say, Indian? So, dun expect kiwis are gonna give u a chance unless ur academic results are VERY good and u r able to command Eng well.

6.)I learned Mandarin quite easily when i was with Chinese friends. (when i was in College). I find no diff between Chinese and Taiwanese. If u do stick with some, u will learn Mandarin NATURALLY. SO, dun worry too much.

Regards.
