~Floating five miles out to sea and a mile above the water is a large chunk of land about fifty miles all the way around. This unique isle is kept hovering by the power of a certain large gem, named the "Master Emerald". This giant green gem contains unlimted power, thus enabling it to power such a massive peice of real-estate. How the Island got into the sky is something to ask the Gaurdian, a lithe femme Echidna by the name of...Lari-Da Echidna. The Island is home to the Echidna race, a group of highly advanced anthros who, for some reason outsiders aren't allowed to know, have recently banned electronic equipment of almost any kind.

The Island has a climate that can vary from EXTREMLY hot desert, to sub-arctic. It all depends on what Zone you happen to be in at the time. (more info on the various Zones can be found below.) The Island's highest peak is mount Thunder, a moutian of massive size that sits right in the middle of the Island. The largest city is Echidopolis, a once-abandomed city that was destroyed in the cataclism that formed this floating paradise, but was rebuilt...

The Zones: Angel Zone: Cnsidered to be the most lush part of this remote Island uptopia, an island on the Island, Angel Zone is sometimes called "the very image of paradise." Marble Zone: The former location of the capital city of the Floating Island, Marble Zone consists mostly of...Marble ruins. That, the ocasional lava pool, found here because of the nearby underground lava reefs, amd LOTS of VERY steep hills is all that you find here... Lava Reef Zone: Lava...Pure and simple...Lots of lava and rocks in this Zone...o0 Mushroom Zone: Found close to Lave Reef and Marble Zone, Mushroom Zone, also called "Mushroom Hill" by the locals, is home to the LARGEST mushrooms imaginable. Some are over ten feet high and twelve feet wide, even large enough to live in! This Zone is really nothing more than a large hill, where it rains...A lot...The large amount of rain supplies the moisture needed for the fungi that grows here... Hydro City: Under water city...Sunken. Lost. The Atlantis of the Isle. Gaurdians only permited here. Hidden Palace: Aaaaahhhh...The resting place of the Master Emerald, as well as the home of the Guardian. One can also find the seven Chaos Emeralds here, as well as the Super Emeralds and the Time Stones. Touching any of these sacred gems either gets you a butt-whoopin' by Lari-Da, or a nasty shock by the Emerald itself...Basicly a giant palace found UNDERNEATH Thunder Mountian, this is THE Holy Place of the echidnas. Sky Sanctuary: Located beside Hidden Palace Zone, Sky Sanctuary is...Well, a large temple...Not allowed to say what's here, but it's said to be the resting place of the Walkers, ancient Echidna Gods... Ice Cap Zone:...Large Mountian. Lots of snow. Real cold. Need I say more? Sandopilos Zone:...A REEEEEAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLYYYY big desert...It takes up about a thrid of the island...Not much here, except for some cactus and bones... Forbidden Zone:...Dragons, sinkholes, Gryphons, Chimera, and lots of other nasty things...Sulfer feilds, acid pools, and a VERY small amount of water...No one that's ever been to this Zone has ever come back again...~
