My homework excuse always floored my teachers .... "I turned it in last week"

I was always getting ahead in class, doing the little quizzes at the end of chapters, etc. So when I used my excuse they figured I was telling the truth, and that THEY had lost it. Since I an 'A' student in most classes, they'd just give me an 'A' on it and forget it.

I didn't use that excuse often, as I am one of the weird ones who LIKED school and LIKED homework. But when I did use it, it never failed me!
