just to undermine the tradition theory: Hector, the one who is mraked with the sword of war, has himself stated that he has no intension of joining a tradition and intends to remain an "orphan." While it is possible that the unaligned could somehow be linked to this symbology, i really cannot see the correlation between the orphans and war. Dave is interested in the Verbena? How.....nice for him and them. Another possibility is maybe the astrological signs of the targets? I don't know the birthdays of any of these guys, but, most of the Apocraphal figures/traits could be linked to assorted Zodiac signs. Linking War with Aries perhaps, or Famine with Virgo. Death.....maybe Libra or Scorpio? Pestilence with Sagitarius. Again, this is just another theory to toss on the fire. If any of those work out, then the question would be what are the signs of the other neophytes. if there are duplications, which there are bound to be in a group this large, why those four? I do think it is safe to conclude that we are dealing with sybiology associated with the Judeo-Christian concept of the Apocolypse/Last Judgement, etc. The four traits that they have are explicitly linked to concepts of the four horseman, i seriously doubt it's a coincidence. It does give us an idea of what mindset/paradigm Scarlett is working from though. It's Western, Judeo-Christian, and probably post-dark ages. At least that's a jumping off board. Now we know we don't need to worry about her employing Yin Alchemy.
