to interject with a different question, eduna, you said that you generally percieve things in an a-b binary with one being affirmative and another being negative. have you encountered situations where various outcomes exist on a gradient? like, this outcome is affirmative and this other outcome is even more affirmative? or, another situation, have you encountered a situation with a paradoxical or contradictory outcome? like when something is simultaneousl affiramtive and negative? for instance, you're a help file right? have you encountered a situation where to "help" someone you wouldn't intervene?

i don't mean to be interagative with these questions nor do i imply that there is a correct or incorrect answer to these questions. rob and i debate stuff like this pretty regularly and often are unable to come to a single "correct" conclusion. If you want a hypothetical situation, something like the death penalty. yes, ending a criminal's existence does prevent the committment of crime, it's utility to prevent further crime is debateable. also, to execute someone is to commit a crime in of itself. you see what i mean, we are somewhere between black and white...in those troublesome greys. i'm suggesting we chat about the utility or validity of the death penalty [unless you wnat to, which i'm happy to debate for hours with you if you like :)] but more how you as both a digital person engage issues where a binary responce isn't necessarily possible.

hope that isn't too circumspect :)
