        i agree and was completely surprised in teen results especially. when they started calling top 15 i knew something was off because so many made it that did not have the whole package. and several were left standing that should have been called.thought ashley witt was a standout from the beginning and should have made top 5. thought some of the top 15 spots should have gone to other girls that were left standing. Sara McCall hands down blew away the Evening gown her dress was amazing! Caite had a great body but lost it for me with evening gown. Rachel Law looked amazing. Jenny Price, too skinny for me but looked great. McCall, Price, Law top three for me.

HIllary Bradshaw was gorgeous. And Sara Black definitely gets most improved! Good JOb Sara Black.

Good Luck to all. I am sure many of you blew their socks off in interview.

How about we agree to not buy into the drama of the NC pageant? or the Chelsey vs Cy bashing? or the queen bashing? or the Paula bashing? RPM bashing? or any of that ugly hurtful stuff? There is going to be a dynamic pageant starting tomorrow with beautiful SC girls who have worked their behinds off-some of them literally :) and they are all going to go out there and give it their all. The judges will pick their favorites who may or may not be the same as ours. Let's pledge to support whoever wins and encourage them and help them to feel confident representing us at the next level. Let's not be sore losers if our favorites don't win! Let's not say mean things that will hurt contestants and their familes! Let's not diminish this experience for those involved! Only two can win which means most will lose and many will be disappointed. If our favorite doesn't win, quickly get over it and support who did!! Everyone up there wants that crown!! OK, let's go have fun and cheer on our favorites!! BTW, I was looking at pictures of our current queens and even though they were not my 1st choice last year, they are both just beautiful and very poised and represented us well! <3 to ya'll

  - Are you serious this is how judging is done. I mean this has to be a joke, but if it is not does each judge just get fifteen circles. What if he goes over his required amount of circles? This silly system could really hurt the first girls that come out because what if he thinks he better save his circles in case he may like someone else better.         I actually like this system. It simplifies things. It's fair. Either the judge see the girl as queen material or not queen material. This is an easy way to sift through a large number of girls. It is also much easier to audit because you don't run the risk of numbers being misadded. (NT) -- ., Tue, Nov 17 2009, 16:57:44
- It's the mention system & it's explained each year in orientation. Basically, the judges take notes during each round of prelim competition. At the end of the round of competition, the judges are given a list of the contestants & choose the best 15 in that round. For example, each judge chooses his or her best 15 in SS, then EG, then interview. I like it better than nitpicking scores - like taking off 1-2 points b/c a skirt doesn't quite fit right. In the mention system, we get the overall girl - they circle her or they don't. That's how they get the Top 15. From there, it's a new ballgame, but the judges still have their notes from prelim. After finals SS, they are asked to choose their indiv. Top 10 & circle those. The 10 girls chosen the most often move on to EG. After EG, they choose the best 5. Once the Top 5 are interviewed, the judges get their ballots. They rank the girls from Queen-4th. Each level gets a certain amount of points. The girl with the most points is your queen. Miss Motor Speedway Pageant�

Do you need scholarships or assistance paying pageant entry fees? Miss Motor Speedway� & Miss Teen Motor Speedway� assist contestants who need assistance paying pageant entry fees. The Miss and Teen Division will receive a $1,000 cash prize and additional prizes. Looking for a Miss and Teen delegate from each state. Winners will be Official Volunteers and Members of the NASCAR Foundation. They will make appearances at selected NASCAR races/events.

The National "Miss Motor Speedway Pageant�" will be held at Vanderbilt University Student Life Center in Nashville, TN on Saturday, March 13, 2010. Contestants are encouraged and welcome to represent their state. The Miss Motor Speedway Pageant� is a volunteer and member of the NASCAR Foundation.

The cash prize may be used to pay entry fees to any pageant system or your educational endeavors. There is NO APPLICATION FEE or CONTESTANT ENTRY FEE. Request an application by contacting Director Mamie Jackson at jacksonfog@msn.com or 615-799-1040.

Do you need scholarships or assistance paying pageant entry fees? Miss Motor Speedway and Miss Teen Motor Speedway assist contestants who need assistance paying pageant entry fees. The Miss and Teen Division will receive a $1,000 cash prize and additional prizes.

She certainly doesnt need them to be famous or popular? But she continues to put herself out there....to be judged....just like the rest of those girls... and she takes her lumps as they are dealt to her. And keeps coming back.         Well from the way she puts herself out there on television wouldn't be so sure she is the "smart cookie" you say she is. This may or may not be how she is in real life but this is how she puts herself out there. The judges want a girl that can relate to most of the teenage girls in america. Thats why it is Miss TEEN USA. And she cannot being to relate with the average teenage girl in America. I highly doubt she could even relate to teenagers in her own state, much less the country. We need someone who can think beyond themselves and their small narrow world. Someone who could use the title for good, for her hometown, state and (hopefully) country. I cannot see MAC making much of any difference around here. She doesnt even give back to her own school.     - Bradshaw. Carter, Sears, and Witt have deserved their hype. Looks at their accomplisments. Bradshaw was Miss Sun Fun Teen, Miss Aiken Teen, Miss Anderson Teen. Top 10 at Miss SC Teen USA, and 3rd runner up at Miss SC Teen USA. Margaret Ann has been Miss Aiken Teen, Miss Lake Murray Teen, 4th runner up at Miss SC Teen USA, and America's Perfect Teen. Ashley Witt has been Miss North Augusta Teen, Miss SC JR Teen United States, 2nd runner up to Miss JR Teen United States, Miss Palmetto Perfect Teen, Top 15 at America's Perfect Teen, and Top 10 at Miss SC Teen USA! Sears was Miss SC Perfect JR Teen, Top 15 at America's Perfect JR Teen twice, and Miss Oconee County Teen. (NT) -- When you've been doing this as much as Sears, Witt, Carter, and Bradshaw and have been as successful you deserve the hype. Megan has won one title.       - New girls win all the time. I agree that these girls are all beautiful. No one is denying that but maybe not everyone believe that they will win or believe that someone else could be up there just as much. They all started somewhere. Just because a girl has been doing pageants and has won many titles doesn't mean they are guaranteed to win. We are here to support ALL of the contestants and I think Megan has just as good of a chance as any of the other girls. She is smart, has worked hard to prepare and we should encourage her and hype her as much as anyone else. I have a favorite to win in Miss but I wouldn't dare say their name because she is not the two girls that are always hyped and I don't want to be bashed because I said someone else. I want to wish them all the best of luck! SC has the most beautiful girls in the US and any of these girls could compete at USA and make the cut.
