Find Yourself...Open Your Eyes

When you whisper to me that you found a secret
And its mysteriously ancient and pale blue
When you beg the constellations to please let you keep it
You should know this wisdom is the reflection of you

Its an everlasting , soothing , adolescent lullaby
It�s a perfectly sub-conscience sparrow's song
Like the way that sun-shining daydreams pacify
It�s the breeze on your back that helps you along

You've received wisdom from an unseen mentor
You're a lifelong student of life's subtle lessons
Behold , the unifying force you overlooked before
Like a tide washing over and silencing your questions

Then you confide in the sky that you have the secret
And the silence that follows holds the galaxy's reply,
" You've known all along , but Now you can see it. "
Inhaling the elegance , you can't help but cry

Mind , Body and Soul fit snug in the cosmos
Wrapped in intricate quilts that comfort and calm
And you bathe in a pool of an angel's vocal notes
In an omniscient embrace where nothing is wrong

With new found eyes the world seems to glow
In a trembling yet steady , soft , blue hue
Breathing in this energy and glancing around slow
Everything is just so precious . . . and so new

You're alive ! . . and you're part of an inconceivable entity
Your emotions are wide open and everything is in focus
It�s a wild kind of vision with unprecedented clarity
How did such a bold discovery ever come from a fungus ?

Do you think that now you should feel nervous and guilty ,
After such an awesome presentation ?
Should you be imprisoned for using mushrooms and leaves ?
Or should we rethink the values of our nation . . .

There is currently a war in America
that our government is using as a vehicle for
a short cut around rational thought ,
and a cheaper , more convenient alternative to medical treatment .
Where our homes are the battlefield .
Where our personal property is their spoils of war .
In this war we are the enemy .
The war against drugs is a war waged on . . .
enlightenment . . .
discovery . . .
our youth . . .
and our freedom !

Please . . . don't let your fellow Americans rot in prison for something as trivial as drug possession.

Fight for your own personal freedom !
