Subject: brought up to speed

I didn't know SQUAT about PRR until now. Not young, I knew OF them, and always liked 'em, but knew no details. I now find the "crew" changed too much for my liking, but stayed fun and kept trying. I now know all the names and can connect them (usually) with faces.
I met Paul Revere once in Washington DC and talked with him a while. He was very friendly and cool. He wasn't some kind of stuck up dude on a star trip, he wasn't shy (I kinda caught him off guard so he could have not been "public ready" as some performers have to be). I wasn't even looking for him (felt I didn't have a snowball's chance of meeting him) but wandering around the facility after the performance I came upon him and dared to bother him. He could have easily blown me off, either politely or rudely, but didn't. He's jake in my book.
I have a hand-me-down album "Just Like Me" and always wondered who 3 of the guys on the cover were. I always assumed the guy sitting on the steps w head on hand was "Smitty", but now know it is...uh...Fang! Right? Drake behind the post? Mark is pretty easy to recognize. Anyone who can't recognize Paul is brain dead. So now I know. Mostly.
