Late afternoon he appeared on the yard, clad in jeans an a hacket polo shirt. On his head he wore a toggi baseball cap. His mucker shod feet carried him to his horse's field were they grazed side by side. On seeing their master they trotted down to the gate. Catching Bay mare Amazon first, then her black colt Spider. He led them to the yard, putting Spider in his box and tying Amazon beside hers. Ryan collected his grooming kit from a nearby store room brought it over to her. Firstly he picked her hooves out, removing mud and stones. Next a dandy brush was used to remove mud and grime from her body. When clean he took a body brush from the kit and brushed her hard all over, getting rit of grease in the coat and leaving a silky shine to her mahogany coat. In the kit were several sponges. Ryan used a different, damp one for her nose, eyes and her bottom. To finish of he took up again his body brush and combed her mane and tail until it was tangle free and shining. Amazon enjoyed grooming and stood quite happily throughout. Untieing her, he left her in her box to munch her hay, while he brought out spider and repeted the same process on his young stallion.
