Subject: Morning

After a good sleep on his comfy bed in his new room Shane awaok refreshed. He pulled some jodhpers from his bag and a warm sweater. He dressed quickly and jogged down the stairs, out the door and into the yard. He visited his horses, Solicitor(Solo) and Sandstorm(Sandy) and make sure thay had been OK during the night in their new stables. They were fine, so he went off to the feed room, mixed them breakfast in separate buckets and fed them. Both horses chomped noisily and were soon finished. While they ate Shane put outdoor rugs on them. He led Sandy out first putting her in the mares paddock. She was placid enough and he hoped she would make friends easily. Solicitor on the other hand didn't like other horses. He accepted Sandy, but did not like her. He is rather mean tempered. Shane turned him out in the sand paddock and gave him a hunk of hay. He returned to the yard with a wheelbarrow, a fork and a broom and proceeded to muck out and bed down the stables. He re-filled the water and hay too. Now he was finished Shane sat down on an upturned bucket and smoked a cigarette slowly. He wondered if anyone else was around this morning...
